Put Your Business On Track For Success! Tip #12 – Who is it for?

Patrick McFadden

“Trying to appeal to everyone, you’ll appeal to no one.”

That is the danger of entrepreneurial and small business planning and execution, is trying to be everything to everybody.

To truly create a product or service that spreads, don’t even try to make a product for everybody, because that is a product for nobody. In fact in order to connect to the your niche, you must create a product or service that focus on the problems and desires of  prospects.

Remember, the secret to cultivating a niche is that the more time you spend in the trenches (commenting on blogs, speaking at events, writing for media outlets, creating informative content, etc.), the more expert you become, the more you expand your territory and the more people you can expose to your expertise.

Note: Personally, I have never used an iPhone,  and I have never had a cup of Starbucks coffee, so if you think your product is for everyone you have to start over.
